All About Olivia Wilde's 'Don't Worry Darling'

Olivia Wilde’s new film ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ wrapped up filming about a month ago, and with the film said to come out by the end of 2021, the audience is thrilled.

What We Know

After Wilde’s ‘Booksmart,’ which was a critical success, she is moving a whole new direction. This will be her second film she has directed, and the audience has high expectations. Wilde’s close friend, Katie Silberman, who wrote ‘Booksmart,’ is also the screenwriter for ‘Don’t Worry Darling.’ Even with a Coronavirus exposure, everyone was able to stay safe and wrap up filming (after quarantining of course.)

This 1950’s psychological thriller is starring everyone’s favorite Florence Pugh and Harry Styles. Their co-stars include Chris Pine, Kiki Layne, Gemma Chan, and Nick Roll.

This is neither Pugh’s or Styles' first film. Pugh has recently starred in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Little Women’ and Ari Aster’s ‘Midsommar,’ Pugh was a phenomenon in both of these films (I think everyone can say she is amazing at what she does). Styles has been in Christopher Noland’s ‘Dunkirk’ and has just been casted in Michael Grandage’s ‘My Policeman.’ In ‘Dunkirk,’ Styles was praised for his performance (which he should be, he’s amazing!)

‘Don’t Worry Darling’ circles around a housewife (Pugh) living with her husband (Styles) in “an isolated community.” The housewife, Alice, believes her husband is keeping a dark and disturbing secret. Alice, begins to question her sanity when unusual things begin happening in her community.

Wilde has been continuously posting teases on her Instagram account throughout filming, and the latest one is captioned “Don’t worry.”
